Photos from numerous trips to the "Ruhrgebiet" and around, which I took during the 2nd half of my 4-year residence in Germany. Whilst living in Berlin, I made numerous trips to the region, which is the largest urban area in Germany. Home to several large urban cities enclosed in some very beautiful natural areas, it's in some way comparable to the north of England. The opportunity to constantly find new "off-the-beaten-track" locations is obviously great for photography.
